Our History

A JOURNEY OF GROWTH

From a single venture in 1989 to an empire spanning 15+ hotels, every milestone reflects the founders' vision and relentless drive for excellence across the Red Sea. Beginning with mid-scale expansion under the Tropicana brand across Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, and Nuweiba, the group later evolved into luxury hospitality with KaiSol, Rosetta, and the next generation of boutique resort brands.

THE STRATEGIC SHIFT

Since its inception, Oscar Developments has pursued a forward-looking vision — anticipating growth, identifying emerging destinations, and developing exceptional projects. Recognising the potential of Sahl Hasheesh early on, leadership strategically acquired land there in the late 2000s, opening the first property in 2008.

After the 2011 national instability, the company made a decisive strategic pivot — moving from mid-scale, high-capacity hotels (Tropicana) to a curated portfolio of boutique luxury properties (KaiSol).

Today, SOL Hospitality specialises in acquiring and managing luxury hotels in prime locations, delivering world-class experiences defined by sophistication, authenticity, and timeless design.
